The 1802 House in pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Historic Inns of Kennebunkport “Taste of Maine” Garden Party.

In conjunction with the Kennebunkport Festival 2013, on Saturday, June 8th from 1:30 - 5:30pm, each of the six member inns of the Historic Inns of Kennebunkport will be holding a Garden Party.

This year the inns will be focusing their culinary efforts to present a “Taste of Maine”.  Maine wines, other Maine beverages and Maine specialty snacks and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

The “Taste of Maine” Garden Parties are complimentary and only open to guests staying at one of the Historic inns: 1802 House, Bufflehead Cove,  Captain Jefferds, Captain Lord Mansion, the Inn at English Meadows, or Maine Stay Inn. Free transportation between the inns will be provided.

Known as the "home of Presidential golf", Cape Arundel Golf Club counts George HW Bush and George W Bush as members in addition to hosting former President's Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon.  PGA Professionals Arnold Palmer, Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples and Davis Love have all played the course. 

Founded in 1896, Cape Arundel is listed on the US Register of Historic Places.  With water play on 11 holes and a par 69, course architect and U.S and British Amateur Champion Walter Travis himself may have said it best:  "While the course is on the short side, it will strongly appeal to every class of golfer and the person who equals par will have played 'some' golf".

Offer includes two night stay (double occupancy) in our Windsor, Arundel or Sebago Suite at the regular rate and an 18 hole round of golf.  All arrangements and tee times will be handled by 1802 House on your behalf.   Golf carts are optional and not included in the special offer.  Please advise if you would like us to reserve one for you when we book your tee time.  Additional rounds of golf may also be purchased through 1802 House for our guests.  Please call for additional information.
